Despite being the leading cause of cancer death in the US, lung cancer does not receive the attention it deserves. Lung cancer research receives about half the amount of funding as breast cancer. More than 3x as many people will die from lung cancer this year vs. colorectal cancer. We need to continue talking about it so that we get screened and treated earlier on for better health outcomes.
